Adrian will be on annual leave for the whole of the week beginning 29 April 2019. The Clinic will re-open on Tuesday 7 May after the Early May bank holiday.
After 30 years together, Janette finally decided that it was time to stop work here and move on in her life. From now on she will be concentrating on her passion and interest in the psychic world and tending to her garden. So as from 16 June 2016 she is longer working at The New Southfields Clinic.
Summing up 30 years is an interesting project. The obvious thing is to appreciate all the things which go unnoticed. Everything in the office has a place, and Janette knew where everything was from a pair of tweezers to the lease for the building. When we were short of paper goods or the laundry hadn’t turned up, she always kept an eye on both the big stuff and little stuff.
Janette has been an intelligent and loyal supporter of the business and of acupuncture itself. Never late, unfailingly interested in and empathetic with the patients, occasionally with stunning insight into peoples' lives and personalities. Recognising when someone might say something to her that might be important and that they wouldn’t or couldn’t say to me. This has always been so important.
I don’t quite know what it has been like for her, but as for me, it has been amazing to have her hard work and intelligent support for so long. I have been so lucky to have her at my side and I wish her well.
We have been training Janette’s replacement for the last 5 months and Fiona Moore has more than proved her ability so far. Whilst I don’t expect another 30 years from her, I am quietly confident that she will provide the same level of care and service that our patients have come to expect from us.
The New Southfields Clinic is now established in its new home on Merton Road. Most patients managed to find us the first time they tried and we have welcomed many new patients too.
There will be a new face at reception and a new voice on the phone as Janette begins to train her successor so that she can move towards retirement later in the year. Our new receptionist is Fiona Moore and she started at the beginning of January.
We are very excited to announce that the clinic is moving. Having spent 33 happy years on Southfields Road we have decided to move due to impending redevelopment of the area behind the clinic. This building work would have meant a prolonged period of noise and disruption from construction activity, not conducive to the healing environment we have enjoyed to date.
Where is the new place and what is it like?
The New Southfields Clinic occupies the first floor of what used to be The Vitality Centre, an alternative medical practice. There is a lift and outside ramp for easy access. We have worked hard to create a new environment for the existing practice. The rooms and reception area are bigger than the last clinic and there is more natural light.
When will this move happen?
The New Southfields Clinic opened on 1st September 2015.
