Length of practice

Adrian Stoddart trained at the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) and qualified as an acupuncturist in 1982.  He has worked locally in Southfields, London since then.

Training, qualifications, accreditation & insurance

Adrian has a BSc in biochemistry and a BAc from ICOM. He is registered with the British Acupuncture Council (BAC) which is the professional regulatory body and provides his professional indemnity insurance.

Multiple rooms model

Adrian works in the same way as Chinese acupuncturists do. That is, he sees every patient for a consultation, takes their pulse, then leaves them in a room with needles in for 20 minutes. During this time he will be seeing other patients. After 20 minutes he returns, removes the needles, takes a pulse again and discusses the changes with the patient.
